Nono wakes up to yet another day of monotony. She prepares the same sandwich in the morning. Then she goes to work. After a visit with her mother in the old age home, she meets her husband, a young physician always on duty, between shifts. She finally ends her day in their warm bed. Her life is light years away from what she imagined. When her mother disappears, her long suppressed feelings are awakened and she sets out on a journey of self-discovery.
