My father was born in 1941 in Los Angeles to a well-to-do family. However, he became an ardent socialist in the 60's and immigrated to Israel to Kibbutz Beit HaSheta. Fourty years later I observe how my father quietly deals with the privatization of the Kibbutz: retreating, disconnecting emotionally, and returning to the values from his youth in America.
