Brave Miss World, a documentary about former Miss World Linor Abargil, was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking. Directed by Cecilia Peck, the film explores the trauma of sexual assault through one young woman's journey from teenage rape victim to Miss World to empowered lawyer and activist.

Ne Me Quitte Pas wins Tribeca 's Best Editing in a Documentary Feature .
The Jury commented on editors Sabine Lubbe Bakker & Niels van Koevorden , who also wrote and directed the film: "This year’s prize for editing celebrates a pair of filmmakers' ability to give shape, rhythm, and even mythic beauty to a story that might have been, frankly, a sodden mess. For finding luster in the most unlikely places, the winners of this year’s prize for Best Documentary Editing goes to Sabine Lubbe Bakker and Niels van Koevorden for their bittersweet portrait of two Belgian boozers."

The Act of Killing   wins Best Film at the Guardian Film Awards . The film was recently nominated for Best Documentary Feature for the 86th Academy Awards and won The BAFTA Award for Best Documentary Feature , The Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Documentary , The European Film Academy Award for Best European Documentary and The Best Documentary Prize at the Gotham Independent Film Awards .
